Watercolour Medals - Commissioned Painting
Both my husband and father are/were in the Australian Army, and, as a Reservist for eight years myself, I understand the significance of service medals.
Earlier this year, my husband presented an ANZAC Day speech at a local school, with the theme of 'Colours'. As part of that speech he explained what the colours of each ribbon stand for, and it got me thinking...
I just had to paint his medals - and the conversations we, as a family, have had since - talking of his service - have been very special.
This listing is for a watercolour painting of your medals at ACTUAL SIZE on A4 watercolour paper.
I will start by pencilling out each medal, then inking the lines with a dip pen, and finish by expressively colouring the image with artist quality watercolours.
The $175 price includes a $25 donation to Legacy. I discussed it with my Dad, a Vietnam Veteran, and we decided that Legacy is what we'd like this project to support.
Your painting will be posted in a flat envelope and will take at around three weeks - I will confirm a delivery date when I receive your photograph.
You can choose to frame them as you wish and the image will easily fit standard sized frames.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU - a clear photo of the medals you want me to paint. Please email the photo directly to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note - there will be no watermark on original paintings.
